Bloggers Do It Better: The Arm Party

Just to clarify for those confused by the title, an "arm party" is any wrist that has been sprinkled, dabbed or doused with bobbles and bling.  The term "arm party" was originated by the very stylish and hilarious blogger, Leandra Medine, Man Repeller. This is the third BDIB post that I am participating in and I always find Kristina's (over at Pretty Shiny Sparkly) challenges a great source of inspiration.  If you are a blogger and want to BDIB bandwagon, what you waitin' for give it a go!

My interpretation is probably akin to a small soiree rather than a full on party, a wrist lightly versus liberally adorned.  The attendees at my arm party were a eclectic crowd, a combination of borrowed, bought and given.  When selecting the attendees I used sophisticated mathematic principles (at first I spelled pricples, sophisticated right?) and color theory.  Let me break it down, I decided on an analogous color scheme, colors next to each other on the color wheel, what up neighbor!  The colors were gold/yellow, green and a neutral tan color decided to crash the party.  I also kept the materials similar, all the yellow bracelets were metal, the green were plastic and the tan leather had gold metal studs on it.  The last thing I considered was proportion I kept the chunkiest bracelets on the ends of the bracelet stack and had the thiner bracelets layered together, strength in numbers.  Okay enough yammering, here's the pictures you judge for yourself.

Credits:
In order of Appearance (right to left)
Large Green Bead: Gift I wish I knew from where
Gold Woven Cuff: Borrowed from Mom's Jewelry stash
Small Green:  Craft Fair, bought when I was in HS
the bead colors were supposed to mean something.
Tan Leather Cuff: J. Crew Holiday 2010
Small Gold Chain: Actually a necklace that I wrapped around three times
Large Gold Bangle:  Borrowed from Mom again, she will find out when she reads this.

Well looky here, even with all the hardware my wrist can still bend!
I realized after that my arm party matched perfectly with my half-moon mani!  Unintentional awesomeness!

Thank you for stopping by I really appreciate your comments and feedback on how I'm doing.  If you have a second and don't have to worry about something you left in the oven, drop me a line.

Best,
Jennifer
